Hans Römer has been around the tennis block a few times during the last three decades. He grew up in his native Netherlands on Gouda cheese, licorice and raw herring. After graduating from the prestigious CIOS Sport College, Hans earned his KNLTB High Performance License (C), a PTR Professional 5A rating, a USTA High Performance Coach and is the only USPTA Master Professional in the State of Maine. 

 

He was active as Director of Tennis at these prestigious clubs: The Dunes Club, BallenIsles Country Club, Pierpont Racquet Club, Monterey Bay Racquet Club and the Portland Country Club; and is now overseeing the entire tennis program at The Edgcomb Tennis Club in Kennebunk, ME. Tennis and surfing go hand-in-hand at this facility. During the winter season he is in charge of the tennis programs at Cedar Hammock Golf & Country Club in Naples, FL.

 

Hans has been featured on the TennisChannel®, hosted his own Tennis Radio Show, and is a frequent speaker at many international tennis conferences. Hosting the 2012 USPTA World Conference resulted in receiving the USPTA NorCal "Pro of the Year Award", and Hans is a member of the prestigious faculty of the annual United States Tennis Congress in Tucson, AZ.
